Anchor started dragging about 0700 when the squall hit at high tide, so set another anchor, then bailed the dinghy to keep it from swamping. Lots of excitement for a few minutes. Moved to a better location and re-anchored in 10 ft water by 1030 with a lot more scope. Devised a better way to attach the bridle. Tinkered with adjusting rigging turnbuckles. Made a good dinner. At 1600 a SW breeze bringing another ominous looking front line. Anchor checked, started engine and charged batteries for an hour. Part clearing at 1815, going to be a nice night. 0630, Flat calm, fogged in, mid 60s. Coffee and to shore for shower, breakfast and usual route. Made it back to the boat at 1145 just as it started pelting rain, and I got soaked. Rain and drizzle mostly stopped by sunset and I caulked the leak at the cabin hatch that put water in the bilge again. I could sure use a couple of dry calm days to get the rigging adjusted, the main bilge dried out, and some painting done. Watched movies and charged batteries the rest of the evening.

Checked Email, T-Dave can't make the voyage, his life has taken another fork in the road. Bought a fuel filter for the outboard and caught the noon meeting. Installed the filter when I got back to the dock, took the water out and finished filling the tanks. Back ashore to go to Spyder's and fill the water cans for the last time as reserve. Spyder is better, the lomatium has stopped the fever cycling. She can take it easy and regular now that I had Judy put it in gel-caps for her and we should see a marked change for the better in a week to 10 days. Onboard at 1730.

0600, quiet, mostly clear, high 50s. Vacuumed, scrubbed and painted the cabin sole. Went to dental appointment at 1115, tooth pulled by 1145, and then made noon meeting by 1215. Cold chocolate malt for lunch then back onboard by 1400. Wind has picked up pit pf SE 15-20 kts. Napped for an hour. When I woke three boats were trying to anchor within my rode swing. I warned them off, but one didn't listen and bumped into me. That finally convinced him that he would have to anchor elsewhere, a lubber with a boat... As a safety precaution, and with all the boats coming in for the boat show the next 4 days I set a second anchor to check and limit my swing. Good thing, setting quieter and keeping me farther from the sloop Poppie. Just about dusk two boats down tide and wind from me collided, not taking both tide and wind into consideration before dropping their hooks.

0600, flat, light NNW breeze, clear low 60s. COA, back to marina, club, Judy's, COA, Spyder's for a couple of hours sponsor-sponsee chit-chat. Judy was there and I found she had gone out and purchased a good set of light weight foul weather gear for me as a gift, which I accepted gratefully. Across the bridge and back onboard at 1830. Beautiful day, quiet evening.

0530, flat calm, clear low 50s. Ashore at 0800 and to COA to meet with Megan, not there, nothing in the email. Judy's, walked a round the lake with her, had coffee and chat, and on to club. Back to boat as SE wind is picking up, 15-20 kts, anchorage foot and a half of chop. Read and tinkered the day away.

0730, light S breeze, clear, mid 60s. Was up for an hour in middle of night. Neatened cabin and stowed loose gear until 0930 then ashore with jerry cans for fuel and water. Internet, pharmacy, club, Judy[s for an hour, back to boat with 4 jerry cans. At 1600 wind begam gistiing to 40 kts, white caps in anchorage. 45 ft cabin cruiser dragged anchor drifting through the boats, tripped one of my anchors but it reset. I called SeaTow and then got aboard it while SeaTow held it from drifting. I rigged another anchor I found in a locker and we set it, a 45# CQR. It held until the owner returned, moved and re-ancored. I went to Spyder's for an hour and returned to boat at 1915 in 2 foot chop and 40 kt gusts, rough ride. Wind backed from SW to N in 10 minutes and then an absolute downpour at 2000 with hail and 45 kt gusts for an hour. Bailed 20 gallons from the dinghy. At 2130 wind still over 20 kts.
